Incredible Connection teaming up with CyberSmart to offer free ADSL once again

You may remember previously we offered free ADSL to our customers when purchasing a notebook or PC. Well the free ADSL is back! This time the free data is being offered in partnership with Cybersmart.

Purchase a notebook or PC between R0 – R5999 and get 60GB Free, R6000 – R9999 will get you 90GB and spend over R10 000 which will get you 120GB of data!

Once you receive your voucher number, enter it here http://www.cybersmart.co.za/incredible/ where you will then receive a username and password to start using your free ADSL!

Each voucher is the equivalent of a 10GB per month account, so if you have a 60GB voucher, it will last for 6 months. Once your voucher has been used up, you have the choice to continue to use Cybersmart as your ADSL provider and pay R99 to receive 10GB of data per month.

While this offer is great and all, people will soon find out that 10GB of data isn’t nearly sufficient to use the internet productively and they’ll need more data.

What happened to those Cybersmart Vouchers which you could use all at once or spread over 12 months? Those were way better and didn’t include a Cybersmart ball-and-chain like the new one’s seem to.

Remember, Incredible Connection have a number of customers who are only now starting to use ADSL and get fully connected at home. For power internet users, they already have 1 or 2 accounts already, so this would just be a bonus for them!

You aren’t tied into any contracts with this offer – once your free gigs are finished, you are welcome to sign up with Cybersmart, but there is no obligation.

It’s good to know you can still use more than one (I have 5 of the old Vouchers active right now).

The only thing is (and I might be mistaken here) but it looks like your line MUST be with Cybersmart for these new vouchers to work.

From Cybersmart’s Incredble Connection T’s & C’s:

“The “Free Gigs” can only be used with Cybersmart
ADSL subscription. If we are unable to install ADSL
because the technology is not available in your
area, then you will not be able to redeem voucher
and you will receive no compensation for the “Free
Gigs”. The voucher is transferable and you may give
or sell the voucher to anyone else.”

The requirement of a Cybersmart ADSL subscription to me is an indication that your ADSL line MUST be with Cybersmart, and can’t
stay with Telkom.

Hey, they are referring to the fact that the free gigs are only available from Cybersmart. So you can’t go to another service provider and try and use the voucher.

Some people also might not have an ADSL line at all, and if they (or Telkom) cannot install ADSL, there are no refunds on the voucher.

You can however give the voucher away as they are transferable!

When you redeem the voucher, you are given an ADSL username and password which you can start using immediately.

There definitely is no catch.

Wow, that’s awesome! My old vouchers are expiring at the end of Jan, so I’ll need to get some new ones.

Cybersmart should really amend their terms though, the way they’ve written it, it sounds like you’re forced to have your line with them.

I haven’t seen any new vouchers for sale as yet, but I’m gonna keep scouting for them.
