February is trade-in month at Incredible Connection

If you remember, last year’s Trade-in promotions had some amazing specials with Incredible Connection selling the cheapest Apple iMac and Macbook’s in South Africa for the month of February. This year, it’s no different.

How does Trade-in work?

All you have to do is bring in any old computer or accessories to claim the discount on all the products on special. It doesn’t even have to work! What Incredible Connection then does is either refurbish the items and donate them to charities in need, or if the product is not usable, they will make sure the electronics are disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner with Enviro Connect and Desco.

Trade-in Specials

Lets kick off the Trade-in specials with gaming. How about the XBox 360 Elite for R2699?

For those of you looking to upgrade your happy snap digital camera to a more serious DSLR camera, the Nikon D3000 with 18-55mm kit lens is going for R4499. If you want something a little more mid range, the Nikon D5000 with 18-55mm kit lens is R7499 and the Canon 500D with 18-55mm lens is R8499.

Incredible Connection also have a few Apple iMac’s and Macbook Pros on special. The 21.5″ 3.06GHz 500GB HDD iMac is R13500, with the 13inch 2.53GHz Macbook Pro going for R16000.

All of us have some old computer or accessories that are collecting dust and probably don’t work. Why not bring in that old junk to get some really great discounts at Incredible Connection? You not only saving money, but helping the environment by disposing of your old hardware in an environmentally responsible manner.

Hi Jolandi, unfortunately not! It’s a better idea to see if you can find a friend that has a really old laptop that they no longer use to come and trade in.

I just called the sandton store, and they are saying the xbox elite costs R3500, so with the trade in special it’s R3000. How do we get the R2699 price you are quoting here?

For everyone wondering about the price of the XBox 360, it is R2699 if you trade-in in any old gaming console. The special is valid for the whole of February! Drop me a comment if there is any problem.

Then the sales people at the stores are confused.

I’ve called Sandton, Fourway and Woodmead branches. All have slightly different stories. Most say the price is R2999.95 (after discount), some say it only applies to the holiday bundle elite console, and Fourways said it was only valid last weekend and ‘maybe’ next weekend. Woodmead said I can bring any old console, even my old atari, while Fourways said I can’t.

So it would be great if you could try sort it out for me .

Hi Jason

Really want to take advantage of this offer with a new laptop. But I got two conflicting stories from sales staff at the northgate and fourways branches:

On laptops, fourways said it’s only acers, Packard bell and e-machines which can be purchased with a trade-in.
In Northgate, I was told it was ANY intel-based laptop. I’m more inclined to believe Northgate judging by the salesman’s knowledge. Also, would be keen to see what discounts will be applied, as it seems to vary based on processor type? Many thanks

I have an old Desktop pc, and would very much like to get the ACER EMACHINE EL1600 NETPC.

Could I do this trade in?
And wouuld it be possible to get the PDF (as mentioned above) of the specials IC is offering in this trade in.

Hi there,

I have an old Sahara pc, in working condition, as well as an HP530 which died on me a while ago. Would I be able to trade any of these in and would I get a full swop or a discount on other items? I can’t fownload the pdf, it gives me an error/corrupt msg.

Hi Zulfa, you can definitely trade them in, but you won’t get a full swop, just discount! You can also buy them on your connection card, no problem.

Yip, trade-in is happening in 2012! It only starts 16 Feb though and will run for a month.
