Connect is Incredible Connection’s latest offering – a magazine with the tagline, The Technology Magazine that speaks your language.
Firstly, some stats:
- Printed in full colour, thick and high-glossy paper – pics just seem to pop!
- May’s issue contains 72 pages
- of which only 12 pages are ads. All the ads are also relevant to the content
- 34 pages of product reviews in 10 categories (Printers, Routers, Monitors, Cameras, Cellphones, Software, PC’s laptops and others)
- 7 featured articles
- All of this for a paltry R14.95
When I heard that Incredible Connection were bringing out a magazine, I was hoping that it wasn’t some poorly put together “pamphlet” of specials and deals with a couple product review thrown in between that IC thought people would want buy. Well was I wrong. The Connect magazine is jam packed with in depth articles, tips & tricks and a host of really well thought out and honest product reviews.
Comparing it to other PC magazine publications
If you had to compare Connect Magazine to SA Computer Magazine (SACM), you would find that SACM costs R32.95 and only has 10 extra pages. In terms of content, SACM is written more for geeks, whereas Connect magazine does a stellar job of writing for the masses and if you compare price, in these troublesome economic times, you are definitely getting more bang for you buck from the Connect Magazine. SACM is still a great read, but if you want a magazine not as technical that will offer you some handy tips and tricks on doing the simpler things, then give Connect magazine a read.
