Logitech has once again provided competitive gamers some incentive to prove they are the best team in the land. As you already know, Logitech has provided in excess of R60 000 worth of prizes for the DoGaming. Tournaments happening at the rAge 2009 expo. Not only are they rewarding the winners with the best hardware, but now they even want to make sure the gamers look the part while competing!

Logitech and Incredible Connection have partnered to bring you the, Logitech Incredible Cup! This tournament will be run in anticipation for the upcoming DoGaming Call of Duty 4 Championships hosted at the Northgate Dome 2 – 4 October. The top 3 teams will walk away with Logitech branded shirts displaying your team name so get those guns loaded and ready to go!

As this One Night Cup is used as a build up to the rAge finals, the tournament will take place on Sunday the 27th of September, precisely one week before the Semi-final and Final rounds of rAge. The tournament or One Night Cup will run from 19:00 – 23:00 on Sunday night. Round one starting off at 19:00 with 16 teams competing. As the competition will be Single Elimination there is no room for error! The 8 teams that win will face off at 20:00 with the Semi Finals taking place at 21:00. The last game of the evening along with the decider for 3rd will be played at 22:00! Our official server host provider iGame have sponsored each and every server for the duration of the tournament to ensure that the battlefield is perfect throughout the games!

The top 3 teams will be provided with the branded clothing we would like to extend an invite to the 36 teams that have qualified; the first 16 teams that register will be entered into the tournament with 4 substitute team allocations as well. Should any of the 16 teams not arrive within the time frame for the first game, the first substitute team will take their place. Please also make note of the AGASA COD4 Ruleset which will be used and can be downloaded from this link. The format is map elimination, the same

The first game will start at 19:00 and all participants are expected to be in the #bastids channel in IRC OR join the Xfire Group located here. =BFB= members will act as administrators and aid with answering any questions you may have. All teams that are not ready to play by 19:10 will be substituted out with the registered substitute. Once we have reached the allocated number of spots the relevant teams will be contacted the final seeding and server details supplied by iGame will be given to captains on the evening.

As soon as the first round of games is completed you will have to wait for your opponent in the IRC channel. This process will continue until we have our top 3 who will receive their prize on the first day of rAge!

If you are interested in competing, email your team’s name, including your core five members as well as the two substitutes, clearly indicating which five will be attending rAge as your official team.
