Gamescom, as the name implies is a gaming convention held annually in Cologne Germany.

Outside of E3 this is probably the largest and most exciting Convention for gamers, publishers, journalists and even the regular joe bloggs like you and I!

The event runs from Wedensday the 19th August all the way through to Sunday 23rd August. Looking at some of the figures this years event has in excess of 420 Exhibitors from 30 different countries around the world! 40% of those exhibitors come from oustide of Germany. With this many international exhibitors it has become the meeting point of the industry annually.

Taking up nearly 120 00 square metres, and filling up five individual halls Gamescon is looking to be a fantastic event once again! That is 6 times the size of Coca-Cola Dome where rAge is held each year. Last year Gamescon had more than 200 00 people visiting the 5 day event and they are hoping for similar figures this year.
