Batman: Arkham Asylum is considered by many as the game of the year for 2009. I just finished this title a week ago and in my opinion it is the best comic book based game ever and game of the year for 2009. The game featured a wide array of gadgets and weapons as well as an awesome and flowing combat system, not to mention a very cool detective mode. Recent developments reveal that there is a sequel is in the making.

The Dark Knight makes his return

Rocksteady Studios recently announced that they are working on a sequel to 2009’s smash hit Batman: Arkham Asylum. All that is known and been announced thus far can be found at: http://arkhamhasmoved.com . Nothing is known of the combat style or exact mechanics of the game but if the first is anything to go by; we can look forward to something special from Rocksteady Studios.

The sequel will feature The Joker amongst other villains

A criticism of the first Arkham Asylum was that players were lead to believe that they would face foes like The Penguin, Two Face and Mister Freeze; though nothing has been confirmed I’m convinced that this sequel will be packed with quite a few foes left out of the first game. The first Arkam Asylum was met with much acclaim and this sequel is definitely one to look out for in the new year and a definite must have for any Batman and/or action gaming fans.
