Wii MotionPlus

The Wii MotionPlus is an accessory for the Wii Remote controller that plugs into your Wii remote port. Nintendo have said it will redefine the game control by quickly and accurately reflecing motions in a 3-D space. It allows for more comprehensive tracking of a player’s arm position and orientation.

Every slight movement players make with their wrist or arm is rendered identically in real time on the screen, providing a true 1:1 response in their game play.

EA Games are releasing 2 games that will make use of this amazing technology – Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 and Grand Slam Tennis. Just imagine being able to fully control your golf swing or have the ability to pull of drop shots, volleys, topspin and serving with real accuracy!

There are some rumours that the Wii MotionPlus will be released in June ’09 a few days before the release of the 2 EA games that will make use of the MotionPlus. All I can say is I cannot wait to try it out!
