Crazy gaming sale now on!
For all you gamers out there, Incredible Connection are having a gaming clearance sale and believe me when I say prices are through the roof!

Crazy gaming special happening from the 19th of February
Just as the Apple Macbooks are currently the cheapest in South Africa at Incredible Connection, all the games going on clearance sale are too! The sale includes all platforms – PC, PS2, PS3, XBox, Wii and PSP, so there is definitely something for everyone.
Prices start at a ridiculous R49 and here are a few titles that you’ll find on special from today:
PC: EA FIFA 2008 – R99
PSP: WORLD SERIES POKER – R99
PS3: WWE SMACKDOWN 2008 – R199
XBOX: HALO 3 – R299
I’m not supposed to share this file with you, but I’m going to anyway – download the list of games and their prices.
Now head on over to your nearest Incredible Connection before they all sold out!

Fantastic. Incredible is just the best store ever
Thanks Jason, but I just phoned Cavendish store down here in Cape Town and they know nothing about it. Can you please confirm that this is at all stores?
Thanks
Nick
Now how about IC actually HAVE all the games in the list at all their stores, wasting my time driving to Menlyn and there are only 4 of the games mentioned there.
Great stuff! Lots of really worthwhile games in there. Definitely going stock up on my collection.
@ Ben G. Good luck finding anything. ALl i found was the same 3 or 4 rubbish titles. No Mass Effect, No Bioshock, No Halo 3.
pfft. Fail.
I scored. Got 2 singstars for R150. There was also dominator and carbon for R199 which I would’ve bought. Well, it was PS2 and Im happy.
Think the lesson learned here is too phone before hand to see what they got in stock. And perhaps sweet talk them to keep you a copy
Hi, I am from Bloemfontein and the store is NOT selling the games at the prices indicated on the price list! Everything is still selling for at the old prices? Do I need to print out the form and show it to them??
To anyone who has heard of the Incredible Connection clearance sale don’t bother, I just visited one of the local branches (Menlyn) that is having this “clearance sale” and it is a joke. They don’t even have 5% of the games they are advertising as being on special. What it amounts to is a small fold up table with a 100 copies of 4 or 5 game titles. Phoned up a friend who works next too the Boksburg branch and it is the same exact story over there. And I was really looking for some of those titles that were on sale, oh well at least I found one of the titles I was looking for at another shop for a bit more.
No stock of the Orange Box, Bioshock, Grid or Dawn of War at the Canal Walk branch. Furthermore, the salesman there told me that Canal Walk is the only branch in Cape Town running the special, as it’s all stock from the other branches that didn’t sell. Unless you want Fifa, NFS: Pro Street or Spore, don’t bother.
Yeah heard the same story from the other branches of Incredible Connection. Staff that don’t know about the sale or are ill informed
I finally did see the specials here in Bloemfontein, and as Larch mentioned, its only 4 or 5 different titles (UT3, Ninja Reflex, Facebreaker and C&C3 here) on sale.
Some titles I saw on the list such as the Singstar song pack IV, and the Buzz pack were still retailing at its original prices. I did however pickup a copy of Singstar 80′s for R199 incl the mics. Although there were about 10 copies of the game there and it was the only one marked down.
Maybe next time you people shouldn’t do false advertising. Out of the 5 stores i phoned only 3 knew there was a special and out of the 3 that knew only 1 was running it (Canal Walk). Then as mentioned above they don’t have stock of anything.
SO BIG FAILURE
feel like checking if you even had stock to begin with and then suing you for false advertising.
the IC sales are always failures of note
the proevious sale they only had 5 copies of a title in stock. That is pathetic. not a clearance, just a reason for people to come into the store to be ripped off on something else
Was really looking forward to checking out Orange Box, but all these comments make me wonder. Whats the point of publishing such reports when none of the stores and staff are in the dark..pathetic indeed!
And you have to wonder where Mr Author of this blog is through all of this or was he also ill informed about this so called sale?
One of my friends bought the orange box for the PS3 for R199 at our branch in Bloemfontein.
@larch – here I am.
As with all sales, there is only limited stock and once its sold out, people will sometimes complain that they couldn’t find what they were looking for – that is just the nature of clearance sales!
IC moved all the stock from stores not running the sales to the stores that were so that they were all in one place and easier for customers to find multiple copies of the games.
As you can see, there are some really happy shoppers that did get to buy some real bargains, but as I mentioned before, there will always be people that couldn’t find what they were looking for as some of the games are sold out.
Sorry Jason but that is a load of BS, I was there on the day the sale started only to find a limited selection of games not even close to 30% of what’s being advertised on this blog post. Not to mention that some of the branches sales people were un-aware of the sale. And many people echo my sentiments in this regard. I find the sub standard service we get as gamers in this country rather despicable, from the ridicules pricing of games to false advertisements like these. I think it’s about time gamers like us should stand up and say something, instead of being on the receiving en of the retail stick.
Larch, this was a clearance sale, this is how it works. Get over it,
The list, as mentioned previously, was an idea of what you could get and was everything they have throughout all the stores.
What you had to do (obviously) was phone before to ask if your store had them or not. What were you expecting? Every shop to have ALL those games?
Nick are you evening reading what some of the people have been saying here? Most people did ask and phone but the people who run the damn stores weren’t even aware of what was going on themselves. If they weren’t even aware of the sale how could they tell you what games they have on special?
