Competition: Win an Intellipen
June 30, 2009 | Digital Lifestyle, competitions | 16 CommentsThe Incredible Blog is giving away an Intellipen to one lucky blog reader.

The Intellipen is a must-own tool for anyone that takes notes in the classroom, at work or in meetings. With advanced digital positioning technology to accurately determine the position of the pen, thus storing handwriting in the pen’s built-in 1Gb of memory, sufficient to store hundreds of written pages. And not just handwriting, drawing diagrams and mathematical equations are just as easily stored in the Intellipen.
Once information is stored, it is a simple procedure to extract the information from the pen using the handy USB interface of the receiver unit, and transfer the information into digital text using the MyScript handwriting recognition software that is included in the bundle.
Arguably an invaluable tool for students, business owners, secretaries and anyone that takes notes! We’re giving one Intellipen away to one lucky visitor. Just fill in the form below and you’ll be entered into the draw. The closing date for the competition is the 15 July 2009 and only 1 entry per person.
This competition is now closed! Winner will be announced soon!

Wow, an Intellipen up for grabs on the increadable connection blog http://tinyurl.com/nkon4g
I can’t wait to win this!!! Anybody who has seen my notebooks will understand why (it’s a work of art).
I am currently reviewing the Mobile NoteTaker – I have to admit it’s not the most user friendly device…yet I’ve seen some mind-blowing office automation using it.
What’s the geeky vote – is this one any better?
Actually, it does have its drawbacks: the software takes some navigation (esp if you want to cut & paste your notes to a Word document), and the handwriting recognition sucks. But it’s a useful tool for meetings!
Oh my goodness, that’s exactly what i need, especially in taking notes @ meetings @ my workplace. I believe it’s really a must-own tool for me, please let me be the lucky owner of the Intellipen!!!
@FeistyFemale – I haven’t tested the Intellipen yet, but from what I have heard its decent and with your “font like” writing, you definitely won’t have a problem with it!
@Marc-A it’s the same as speech-recognition software. It always takes time to train, but if you can stick it out for a couple of weeks by constantly testing it, you’ll get used to the small quirks it does have based on your writing.
@Valerie – good luck! I’ll post a follow up on the blog when the winner is announced, so make sure you are subscribed to the blog via email or RSS!
A word from the importers to some of these blog comments. We will gladly arrange demos in our office for any one interested.Contact details on our website.
On the OCT we use My Script Notes from Vision Objects which is bundled with the device. My Script is the industry standard and is used by the majority of digital pen suppliers. Getting the converted document to word requires no cut and paste, but can be done with one click
I am not going to waite to win an ip, I am going to buy one.
Steve,
I’m interested in a demo. What’s the company details, or at least the website?
All contact details on our website
http://www.intllipen.co.za to arrange for a demo
Can’t seem to get an idea of what the software will cost. I assume it is not included in the cost of the pen?
The My Script Notes version 2.2 is included with the Intellipen, no additional costs.
More information on the software at http://www.visionobjects.com
Nice idea.
I am a C# programmer and this will be an excellent way to get the notes made during a consultation to the PC. I sometimes loose notes, made on paper, before I get to development. This sounds like a live backup of my notes that can be converted to actual notes during program development. Cool piece of hardware.
What a great item, must get!!!
Sounds fantastic, I cant wait to see how it works!!!
Nice website, I was doing some internet snooping and stumbled upon your blog, I was wondering if you knew your blog is displaying unusually in the K-mellon internet browser. I will see everything however the graphics are one way or another out of whack. Probably not a huge issue since basically no one uses it anymore however I am old school and still use it.
Not sure why bing sent me over to your but I should probably I have been more or less captivated by the comments you have pulled together. How many week did it take to start getting so many showing up to your internet page? I am rather new to this blog thing.
