Samsung to bring out world’s first HD phone
February 16, 2009 | Cellular | 0 CommentsThat’s right folks, Samsungs OmniaHD will be the world’s first cellphone that will be able to record video in 720p.

Thw world's first HD phone
According to Samsung’s press release, the OmniaHD will record video in 720p HD with an 8 megapixel camera. There will also be various other features such as 16GB/32GB memory, Wi-Fi, GPS, HSPDA etc.
For those of you that have seen movies, sport and video clips in HD, the quality of HD video is amazing. Now, with a device in your pocket that is able to record in HD, those blurry cellphone video clips that everyone shares might just become something watchable!
I for one can’t wait to get my hands on this phone to test it out. No word on the exact release date of the phone, but I’m expecting it to be launched in the next couple of months, with it reaching our shores in Q4 of 2009.
Update: I’ve added a new poll to the site on what is your favourite cellphone brand. Please stop by and vote!
