The Rechargeable Li-Polymer Battery can deliver up to 8-hours Battery Life.

The extremely light-weight Iconia Tab comes with a few built in applications like Skype Mobile for video calling, Amazon Kindle, and Acer clear.fi to stream and share music and videos. Facebook, Flickr and YouTube also come pre-installed. The Android market also gives you access to thousands of apps and games to make customise your device.

The Acer Iconia Tab A501 has been designed to maximize content enjoyment. The orientation-less design ensures optimal on-screen viewing from every angle, from up and down or left to right. Simple touch operations allow quick and easy media playback, users are able to scribble notes, create sketches, and have fun with intuitive touch games.

The Tab A501 is also the first mobile device to provide an arcade-like gaming experience with 10 point multi-touch control for high-level gaming. It comes preloaded with full versions of gaming titles like Electronic Arts’ Need for Speed: SHIF’ and Gameloft’s Let’s Golf.

Priced at R6999.95 the device is similarly priced to the iPad and other tablet devices. It’s a great choice if you’re not so keen on the iPad but are looking for something that is similar in size.
